Privacy Policy

The short version

Unlike a plain calculator tool, JobPlnr's core features genuinely need to process your resume and job description content on our servers and send them to our AI provider to generate your analysis — this page explains exactly what that involves, what we store, and for how long.

1. What you give us, and why

• Your resume (uploaded PDF/DOCX, or pasted text) — needed to run Resume Analysis, Fit Score, Skill Gap Roadmap, Interview Playbook, and Resume Studio.
• Job descriptions or job posting links you paste — needed to tailor Fit Score, Roadmap, Playbook, and tailored resumes/cover letters to that specific role.
• Your email address — needed to enforce free-tier limits, deliver your license key, and send purchase/support messages.
• Target role, industry, location, and experience level — the quick screens after your free analysis — used to run Find Jobs and improve analysis relevance.

2. How your resume and job description content is processed

Your resume text (or the PDF itself) and any job description you paste are sent to our servers and then to Anthropic (maker of the Claude AI models) for processing, so Claude can generate your Fit Score, Skill Gap Roadmap, Interview Playbook, resume analysis, and tailored resume/cover letter content. This is not done locally in your browser — genuine server-side processing is what makes these features work.

Anthropic processes this content solely to return a result to us and does not use it to train its models under Anthropic's standard commercial API terms. We do not sell this content or share it with data brokers or advertisers.

3. What we store, and for how long

• Resume content, generated analyses, and resume/cover-letter outputs — kept tied to your upload session so you can revisit results without re-uploading, and so you can rerun Fit Score against a different job without paying again if you already ran a full prep on the same job (see Terms). We currently auto-delete this after a fixed period after your credit expiry or 30 days from your purchase, whichever comes earlier, its is advised to use the full features and download the analysis for your future reference. Also you can request deletion at any time — see Section 6.
• Email address and free-tier usage counters — kept to enforce the 1 free resume analysis, 1 free job search, and 1 free Resume Studio build per resume, and to prevent abuse of the free tier.
• License key, credits balance, and Razorpay order/payment IDs — kept for the lifetime of your license, for support and reconciliation. We never see or store your card, UPI, or net-banking details directly — those go straight to Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway.
• IP address — kept briefly (daily counters) to enforce free-tier limits and prevent abuse; not used for tracking or profiling.

4. Find Jobs — third-party job listings

When you use Find Jobs, your search parameters (role, city/state, industry, salary range, and filter selections) are sent to Adzuna and JSearch (a job-listings aggregator accessed via RapidAPI) to retrieve live listings. These are search queries, not your resume or personal identity — we don't send your name, email, or resume content to these job-search providers.

5. How we use your data

To run the AI features above, deliver Find Jobs results, process your ₹49 purchase and license key, send purchase confirmations and support replies, and — only if you've opted in — occasional product updates. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

6. Your rights & deletion requests

In line with India's DPDP Act, 2023, you can request a copy of what we hold about you, or request deletion of your resume content, analyses, and account data, at any time. Email support@jobplnr.com from your registered address and we'll act on it within a reasonable period.

7. Cookies & analytics

The public site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The admin dashboard uses a session cookie for login only.

8. Third parties we use

AI processing: Anthropic (Claude). Payments: Razorpay. Job listings: Adzuna, JSearch (via RapidAPI). Fonts: Google Fonts. Each of these processes only the data described above, solely to provide their part of the service to you.
